Earn a generally recognized degree in
a few months
through part-time distance
education and assessment of prior knowledge
Institutions of higher
learning which offer Accelerated Online Degree Programmes require low to no residency (distance
education) and award academic credit for what you already
know (life-experience evaluation, equivalency examinations).
The latter fact can lead to a significantly reduced duration
of the programme compared to traditional study courses.
For example, many students at the undergraduate level earn
their degree in as less as 3-6 months. Age (>23) and
part-time status are common defining characteristics of
a non-traditional student. Although non-traditional education
includes distance learning, it can also include independent
studies, mentoring, portfolio development, and challenge
examinations.
First
introduced by the University of London in 1835, online degree programmes are offered today both by divisions of
traditional and by distance education institutions. Among
them are many duly chartered respectively accredited and
a handful of good unaccredited institutions as well as a
large variety of degree mills.
Find the right degree programme with the assistance of
a qualified consultant
Considering
the fact that there are thousands of online degree programmes, with large differences in quality and status,
it is both essential and a very challenging task indeed
to identify those options which fit the individual background
and needs of a specific mature student and which fulfil
high standards of credibility and recognition. It is our
mission to assist potential non-traditional students in
this process.
